MAC House Wine vs Innisfree Latte Brown Dupe Review
Hi Ladies and Jellyspoons
Today I will be sharing another dupe review with you. MAC has recently decided to to discontinue one of my favourite lipsticks called House Wine. In a previous blog post, I shared a dupe review on House Wine comparing it to a lovely lipstick by Etude House. You'd think that I would be happy with having a replacement, but when I walked in to Innisfree the other day to get some skin care products, I noticed this lipstick and I knew right off the bat that it would be a dupe for MAC House Wine. Innisfree is an internationally loved Korean cosmetic brand that is famous for skincare and their line of Creammellow lipsticks. I guess it's not surprising the House Wine dupe is a lipstick from the Creammellow range. The dupe shade is #10 Latte Brown.
Here are the dupe swatches on my hand. Innisfree Latte Brown at the top and MAC House Wine at the bottom.
As you can see, they look a little different in the tube compared to the application. Innisfree Latte Brown is a smidgen more milky in colour. The Innisfree Creammellow lipsticks are known for being very moisturising and that is why the colour pay off is a little less than what's expected.
Here are the lip swatches.

The colour can be perfected by adding another layer of Latte Brown, or by applying a layer of tinted balm like Nivea Cherry, since it is opaque when applied to the lips. I also always advocated using a lip scrub before applying lipstick, especially if like me, your braces keep snagging on your lips.
I would give Innisfree Latte Brown 4 out of 5 in comparison to MAC House Wine.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Lots of Love
